William DeGrouchy

William DeGrouchy, July/August – September/October 1948

William John DeGrouchy was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1889.  In 1914, he married Gertrude P. Kelly. The 1920 US Census shows him working as a sales manager in the publishing industry.  Gertrude and two sons are listed with him at a residence in Lower Merion, Pennsylvania.  His aunt, Catherine Grigney, is listed as the head of the family.

The 1930 US Census shows him living in Haverford, Pennsylvania, married to Gertrude, working in the publishing industry as an editor.  The 1940 US Census shows him living in Montclair, New Jersey and working as an executive in the publishing industry. His annual income is listed at greater than $5,000. The family lists Gertrude with three sons and one daughter. One source shows his death in 1954 in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania.
